Position Overview
The Behavior Technician (BT) delivers one-on-one ABA therapy to children in home and community settings. This entry-level role includes paid training and support to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), making it ideal for individuals new to the field.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy using evidence-based interventions
- Support development of communication, social, and daily living skills
- Promote independence and positive behavior outcomes
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Accurately collect and record session data using electronic systems
- Maintain detailed session notes and progress tracking
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with BCBAs and clinical supervisors
- Collaborate with families to support client progress
- Participate in training and supervision sessions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior ABA experience required (training provided)
- Strong interest in working with children with autism
- Patience, compassion, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Willingness to complete 40-hour RBT training
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
