Our team is committed to supporting professional growth and provides training and guidance for Behavior Technicians pursuing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Position Overview
The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to clients by implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA. This role focuses on skill development, behavior support, and data collection to drive meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA
- Teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills
- Use reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors
- Implement behavior reduction plans for challenging behaviors
- Collect accurate, real-time data on client progress
Session Preparation & Documentation
- Prepare materials for therapy sessions
- Maintain detailed and accurate session notes in accordance with company and insurance requirements
- Track skill acquisition and behavior trends using data collection systems
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs regarding client progress and challenges
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision
- Provide caregiver feedback when appropriate under BCBA guidance
Professional Conduct
- Follow ethical guidelines established by the BACB
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Interest in working with children and behavioral health
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow structured treatment plans
