Position Overview
The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA therapy in home settings. This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting skill development, and helping children build independence in everyday environments. No prior certification is required—free RBT training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home settings
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Support development of daily living skills such as toileting, feeding, and behavior management
- Assist with skill-building in communication, compliance, and social behaviors
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Collect and record data on client behavior
- Write progress notes and maintain program materials
Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in treatment implementation and parent training
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure effective care
- Follow structured behavioral protocols and guidance procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Experience working with children (preferred)
- Ability to follow structured plans and receive feedback
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and move actively throughout sessions
- Ability to lift and support clients (may exceed 100 lbs in some cases)
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain engagement during sessions
- Ability to remain focused and attentive during sessions without distractions
