Position Overview
The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct ABA therapy services to individuals in home and community settings under the supervision of a BCBA. This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting skill development, and promoting positive behavioral outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home and community settings
- Deliver small group interventions as assigned
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Support skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Collect and accurately record behavioral data during sessions
- Follow data collection protocols and maintain documentation
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate progress and concerns with supervising BCBAs
- Participate in required supervision, training, and team activities
Professional Conduct
- Maintain client safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards
- Follow all organizational and BACB guidelines
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- RBT certification (preferred)
- Willingness to complete 40-hour RBT training and competency assessment (if not certified)
- Ability to pass required background checks
