Role Overview
As a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will provide 1:1 ABA therapy in a school setting during daytime hours. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for children in the Camden, NJ area. This per diem position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work close to home in New Jersey.
Duties & Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy directly in the child’s school setting.
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Teach essential communication, social, daily living, and play skills using ABA principles.
- Utilize reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and address challenging behaviors.
- Create a safe, engaging, and positive environment during therapy sessions.
Session Preparation & Documentation
- Collect accurate data on client progress during sessions.
- Document client progress and maintain clear session notes.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate effectively with families and supervisors regarding client progress and needs.
- Collaborate with the BCBA and team members to ensure consistent support for the child.
- Participate in training and supervision sessions to support professional growth.
Professional Conduct
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Maintain strict client confidentiality (HIPAA) and professional boundaries at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification: RBT certification is a plus, but not required (we provide training and support).
- Experience: Previous experience with children or ABA therapy is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Compassionate, dedicated, and able to create positive interactions with children.
- Requirements: Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally in the Camden, NJ area, ability to pass background checks.
