Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to children in home and community settings under the supervision of a BCBA. This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, teaching functional skills, and supporting meaningful client progress.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide ABA services in home and community environments
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
- Support clients in achieving functional goals
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Accurately record session data using company systems
- Complete detailed progress notes following each session
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with BCBAs to ensure effective treatment implementation
- Collaborate with families to maintain consistency in behavior plans
- Participate in supervision and training as required
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active RBT certification through the BACB
- Experience working with children (preferred), especially those with developmental disabilities
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
