Role Overview
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work 1-on-1 with children under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will deliver individualized ABA therapy in-home and in the community, helping clients develop essential communication, social, and daily living skills. This position offers flexible full-time and part-time schedule options in a positive, supportive, and collaborative environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Deliver high-quality ABA therapy by implementing treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Provide in-home and community-based interventions using ABA principles.
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills to children with autism.
- Utilize reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect accurate, real-time data on behavior and skill acquisition during every session using Rethink software.
Session Preparation & Documentation
- Complete daily progress notes and maintain accurate records to effectively monitor client progress.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation that meets company and insurance standards.
Collaboration & Communication
- Regularly communicate with behavior analysts and coordinators regarding client progress and session needs.
- Provide updates and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and monthly continuing education webinars.
Professional Conduct
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Maintain strict client confidentiality (HIPAA) and professional boundaries at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree preferred or in progress).
- Certification: Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential required.
- Experience: Previous experience with children, autism, or ABA preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, organization, problem-solving skills, and a passion for working with children.
- Requirements: Clear Level II background check, verifiable references, and reliable transportation for in-home and community sessions.
