Role Overview
As a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will provide direct ABA services by implementing treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will support skill development and behavior reduction in a safe and engaging environment while working with children and individuals with autism and related conditions. We have an immediate need for staff availability during afternoon hours and are offering an enhanced hourly rate for this availability. Full-time and part-time flexible schedules are available.
Duties & Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide direct behavioral services in one-on-one and group settings.
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using ABA principles.
- Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
- Ensure client safety and respond appropriately to challenging behaviors or crisis situations.
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment during sessions.
Session Preparation & Documentation
- Accurately collect and record session data using ABA software.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of client progress.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with clinical team members to support client progress.
- Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with the BCBA and team to ensure consistent care.
Professional Conduct
- Maintain professionalism, client dignity, and strict confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience: No prior experience required (training provided); experience with children or ABA is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Requirements: Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks. Availability during weekday mornings, afternoons, and/or early evenings is highly desired (enhanced rate for afternoon availability).
