Position Overview
The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to young children ages 2–6 in a clinic setting. This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, building foundational skills, and supporting positive behavioral outcomes in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children ages 2–6
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Support development of communication, social, and daily living skills
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive therapy environment
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Accurately collect and record data on client progress
- Maintain detailed session notes and documentation
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with BCBAs and clinical team members
- Communicate effectively with team members and caregivers
- Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings
Professional Conduct & Physical Requirements
- Maintain a safe and structured therapy environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and support physical engagement with clients
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, squat, and move actively throughout sessions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience working with children ages 2–6 preferred
- Ability to obtain Louisiana Line Technician certification (LBAB)
- Must obtain RBT certification within 6 months of hire (first exam paid)
- CPR and BLS certification (provided by employer)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
