Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to children and adolescents across home, school, and community settings. This role focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans, supporting skill development, and promoting positive behavior change under the supervision of a BCBA.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, and community environments
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors
- Support communication, social, and daily living skill development
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Collect and accurately record data on client progress
- Maintain detailed session notes and documentation
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and team members
- Ensure consistency in treatment plan implementation across settings
Professional Conduct
- Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred)
- RBT certification (required)
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
