Position Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct, one-on-one ABA therapy in home settings under the supervision of a BCBA. This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting skill development, and promoting independence through evidence-based strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Client Support
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in natural (home) environments
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
- Use prompting and positive reinforcement to build functional skills
- Support communication, social, and behavioral development
Session Documentation & Data Collection
- Collect, analyze, and track data on client progress
- Prepare documentation for clinical review
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with BCBAs and team members to ensure program consistency
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers
- Provide feedback to parents/guardians on client progress
Qualifications
- Active RBT certification through the BACB (required)
- Experience working with children or adolescents with autism (required)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication skills (Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and follow structured plans
- Passion for working with individuals with developmental needs
