POSITION:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year
Certification: Must have a Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field; Board Certified Behavior Analyst as credentialed by the BACB;
Qualifications: 3-5 years teaching experience preferred. Clean Criminal Background Check and Child Protection Registry and TB Clearance required prior to employment

General Information
10-month, Full time Position
Location may vary among all IRSD schools, but 1 of the BCBA positions is specifically needed at the Early Learning Center
Responsibilities Include
- Conducting assessments related to the need for behavioral intervention (e.g., stimulus preference assessment, functional assessment) or for evaluating behavioral interventions;
- Designing, implementing, and systematically monitoring skill-acquisition and behavior reduction programs;
- Overseeing the implementation of behavior-analytic programs by others;
- Training others including caregivers and staff, designing behavioral systems, and performance management related to concerns impacting educational progress;
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with caregivers and other professionals;
- Other activities normally performed by a behavior analyst that are directly related to behavior analysis, such as attending planning meetings regarding the behavior-analytic program and researching the literature that is relevant to a current client’s programming;
- Oversee and manage the district's Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) and provide ongoing support and supervision as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with Behavior Support Plans;
- Other related duties as may be required.
The BCBA will:
- Have a caseload and work with teachers and other specialists to address the behavioral needs of the students.
- Consult with psychologists on more challenging cases to offer behavioral guidance as needed.
- Attend IEPs of students for which behavior is identified as focus area for improvement.
