Description
We are looking for a Medical Collector to manage and resolve outstanding medical claims and payments from patients, insurance companies, and other third-party payers. They will ensure the timely collection of medical debts while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of medical collections, including follow-up on outstanding accounts and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance companies to facilitate timely payment of claims.
- Analyze patient accounts and identify trends in billing issues, providing actionable insights to improve processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of collection activities and communications in our billing system.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve complex billing issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all collection activities.
High Level Workflow
- Collectors work Top 20 accounts- high balances that need to be worked and resolved- either by calling the insurance or utilizing portals
- Resolving claims denials and overpayments-either by calling the insurance or utilizing portals
- Resolving underpaid claims by calling the insurance or utilizing portals
- Identifying trends and reporting to management
- Filing corrected claims/appeals when appropriate
Working conditions
Mondays-Fridays 8 am-5 pm EST
